About Ron

Ron began his Federal Acquisition career while in the United States Air Force.  He was commissioned as a distinguished graduate (1st in his class) from the University of Texas AFROTC program in 1979.  Following 4.5 years in the Strategic Air Command (SAC Trained Killer) as a Missile Combat Crew Commander he was selected for the Air Force Education With Industry (EWI) program at Lockheed Georgia in the contracts career field.  After his EWI assignment he went to the General Dynamics AFPRO (now called DPRO as part of DCMA) in Fort Worth and served in multiple capacities including being an ACO and Business Management Chief.  While at GD Ron was involved in multiple Should-Cost Reviews including the F-16, AMRAAM, B-2, and F-22 programs with a value of over $100B.  He retired from the Air Force at Hanscom AFB, MA after serving as a PCO and Deputy Principle Assistant for Contracting at ESC.

After the Air Force Ron joined SAIC and working as a SETA developing the Air Force position on multiple claims ($68M) on the JSIPS program.  Ron then joined Raytheon as a Process Improvement Engineer then Contracts Manager then Supply Chain Director.  After retiring from Raytheon in 2014 Ron joined Innovative Signal Analysis in Richardson Texas as the Director of Contracts.

Ron has been an active member of NCMA since 1986 (32 years).  He is a CFCM, won the National Cravens award and earned his Fellows designation in 2001.  He has held multiple roles in a number of NCMA chapters including being the Chapter President of North Texas in 1999-2000.
