Come join NCMA North Texas for our final dinner meeting of the 2017-2018 Program Year. On Tuesday, June 19th, we will be privileged to host Colonel Lamont J. Hall, Commander of DCMA Dallas, who will speak on the changes happening in US Government acquisition. ABOUT COLONEL HALL

Colonel Hall assumed command of Defense Contracts Management Agency (DCMA) Dallas on 29 September 2016.  COL Hall leads over 375 government civilian and military personnel providing acquisition insight to the DOD from contractor facilities across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. DCMA Dallas is the second largest contract management office in Central Region and is responsible for over 12,500 defense industrial base contracts equating to $3.29B.    

COL Hall’s prior assignment was the Product Manager (PdM) for Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) Increment 2. COL Hall led the WIN-T Inc 2 program through the Full Rate Production (FRP) milestone review process resulting in the Defense Acquisition Executive approval for FRP, the first Army ACAT 1D program to receive a FRP approval in 14 years. Additionally, COL Hall was selected as a Department of the Army System Coordinator for the Pentagon managing Army advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Science and Technology initiatives and serving as project director for a medical research and blast test manikin development program.         

COL Hall was commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps in March of 1993. He was assessed into the Military Intelligence Corps as his basic branch. His assignments includes: Battalion Intelligence Officer, 2nd Infantry  Division, Camp Red Cloud, Korea; Strategic Level Intelligence Officer, Central Command, MacDill AFB, Florida; tours to Southwest Asia and Special Operations Command Europe, Stuttgart, Germany; Third Republic of Korea Army, Camp Long, Korea; Company Commander, Camp Humphreys, Korea; and System Automation Course Fort Gordon, Georgia.       

After being assessed into the Army Acquisition Corps, COL Hall has served at the National Security Agency; Assistant Program Manager (Pentagon Renovation Program), which was followed by a deployment supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom with Special Operations Command, Central; Assistant Program Manager, Firescout (Unmanned Helicopter Program), Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland.        

COL Hall earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Weber State University, and he holds a Masters Degree in Information Management from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the Acquisition Corps and is Level III certified in Program Management. He is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Airborne and Air Assault Schools. COL Hall also completed the Military Intelligence Officers Basic Course, the Military Intelligence Officers Advance Course, Imagery Exploitation Officers Course and Signals Intelligence Officers Course.         

COL Hall’s military awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, and the Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf. He also earned the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, National Service Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Ribbon, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Oversees Service Ribbon and the Army Staff Identification Badge.
